The Starter Yarn Palette

We chose these five Loop 8 colours because they are our bestsellers and the shades tufters reach for most. Together they cover almost every beginner design: checkerboards, smiley faces, word rugs, stripes and bold graphic shapes.

• 001 Asphalt: a deep, dark shade for outlines, lettering and contrast
• 002 Milk Tooth: a soft off-white for backgrounds and checkerboards

About the Yarn

Loop 8 is soft, open and super bulky, which is what makes it so forgiving to tuft and so plush underfoot. It is excellent for flat pile, colour blocking, lettering and bold graphic designs.

It is not a carving yarn, and we do not recommend it for carved or sculpted relief. If you want deep carved work later on, source a hard, tightly twisted carving yarn for those sections.

You will still need PVA sealer and spray adhesive to finish your rug. Everything else is in the box.

The frame is sent as a separate parcel and may arrive on a different day to the rest of your kit.
